The sweetest thing ever just happened.

The librarian at Quentin's school reached out to his teacher - she picked out a book specifically for him, and wanted to know if I could pick it up for him before vacation started. He went into quarantine on Tuesday, and therefore missed library day with the rest of his class.

I'm so touched that she went out of her way to reach out to us and do something nice for him. All the librarians love him because he always asks for books on different subjects and actually wants to research new things. When we're all out of quarantine, I plan to take him to our bigger library so he can pick out some new books there too.

Just... needed that little smile this morning.
I am so, so proud of my son right now. A car broke down at the edge of our driveway, and he came to get me immediately when I got out of the shower and told me someone needed help. He brought me out to the living room, pointed the car out to me, and asked if we could go help them. ♥

So of course I went out to check on the driver and see what was going on and if we could do anything. The woman only ran out of gas and already has someone on the way, so all is well, but I am so proud that Q wanted and knew to get help. Makes me feel like we’re doing something right as parents if my kid’s first instinct is to reach out and help a stranger if they sees they need it. His heart is just so, so big and I hope he never loses that.
