This will be a series of one-shots based on this modern housemate AU. Will update eventually, but never on a set schedule. Mostly I just want to explore what relationships and friendships these characters have within this setting.

Inside was well-worn, but someone - probably Tifa - made the effort to make it more homey. Rugs covered the beaten hardwood floors, though they still creaked under Cloud’s footsteps. “This door leads to the basement,” Tifa said, laying a hand against it. “I’ll show you that later.”

“Why? Creepy monsters live down there or something?” Cloud raised an eyebrow.

“Vincent’s room is down there,” Tifa corrected, “and he’s asleep during the day.”

“And most of the night!” Someone else shouted from the living room.
