getyourwordsout have led me back to working on the Imperial Story.
Mostly snippets of world building scenes, and only one scene that might actually make it into a novel eventually. Of course, I'm having fun writing it, and then go back and read it and realize that it doesn't make sense, so I may never post it.
However, it does reaffirm my decision to keep Vidal alive (he had been long dead in the original draft of Seven) and make Anitra's parents into an OT3. The story is a lot more interesting this way, and now I don't have to kill off one of my favorite characters. I may not write a ton on it, but at least I'm enjoying it for now.
