Rikku from FFX and Thor from MCU 💕

Rikku (Final Fantasy X)

- How I feel about this character: Honestly, when I was younger I disliked Rikku because she was just so bubbly. But as I've gotten older, I've come to appreciate 1. her perspective as an Al Bhed, which was needed in the game, and 2. the contrast she represents to the other party characters. Someone had to be the optimist, and someone had to remind Yuna that, hey, there are other avenues to take besides, you know, sacrificing herself.

- All the people I ship romantically with this character: I've honestly read some Rikku/Wakka that has some potential depending on who's writing it.

- My non-romantic OTP for this character: (Taking this as a BROTP) Yuna & Rikku & Paine, for sure.

- My unpopular opinion about this character: MAYBE WE LET RIKKU BE A FUCKING 15 YEAR OLD GIRL AND WORRY ABOUT TEENAGE SHIT FOR A FUCKING CHANGE. AND NOT HOOK UP WITH A 35 YEAR OLD DEAD GUY THANKS

- One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: See above. Not that Auron/Rikku is canon but fuck do I hate it. Rikku having a one-sided crush on Auron? That I can see. Auron would not return that. For fuck's sake.

- my OTP: Don't have one for Rikku.

- my cross over ship: Not a ship, but I would love to see Rikku school the fuck out of Locke and teach him how to be a better thief. Or her and Yuffie pulling some shenanigans.

- a headcanon fact: "fact" is a funny term to use here, meme Yuna and Rikku definitely played together as children, with Yuna's mother in Home.


Thor

- How I feel about this character: Oh, I love Thor. Ragnarok is my favorite MCU movie, and I love when Thor is allowed to be both funny but also reminding people that he's smarter than he seems.

- All the people I ship romantically with this character: Sif, Jane (to an extent - this is not my favorite ship for him, but I do see how it works)

- My non-romantic OTP for this character: I am so here for Rocket and Thor to be BROTPs. Also Thor and Korg. And Thor and Valkyrie.

- My unpopular opinion about this character: BRO THOR SUCKS. COME FUCKING FIGHT ME ABOUT IT. IF YOU WANNA HAVE HIM DEALING WITH DEPRESSION THERE ARE A MILLION OTHER WAYS TO DO IT RATHER THAN MAKING HIM FAT AND "UNATTRACTIVE." FUCK OFF WITH THAT SHIT.

- One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: This is a bit of a spoiler for the MCU/PR fic, but Thor actually taking care of his people, and not just becoming a drunk who plays Fortnite all the time? You know, be the king we know he is??? Just a thought.

- my OTP: I don't have one for Thor! If it's written well, I'll read it.

- my cross over ship: Not a ship! But Thor and Zack from Power Rangers being Lightning Bros is something I need in my life. (also, Zack bitching about how he can't pick up the hammer but he is ~lightning~ and being really offended about it is something I'm really looking forward to writing)

- a headcanon fact: After failing to aim for the head, Thor returns to what remains of his people, and vows to be a better king. He lays down Stormbreaker, promising to rebuild and stand by Asgard.

So much YESSSSSS to all of this :D always happy to see us on the same page. ESPECIALLY THAT BULLSHIT WITH BRO THOR. That forever enrages me. Like sure, have him struggle with trauma and depression, but like... wow, what a shitty image to portray to people. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HIS FRIENDS JUST USE HIM AS A JOKE EVERY OTHER SCENE. Also I remember some lady cackling behind me EVERY TIME they showed Thor in Endgame and I wanted to punch her in the face.

Rikku definitely grew on me now that I'm older! I'm not a fan of peppy, outgoing characters, but she's really well-done and fits great in the story. I do wish Square didn't turn her into a sex idol :\ it's really gross. It would be one thing if she was an actual person with autonomy and chose that for herself, but some artists made that conscious decision and I just... nope.
