We both know I'm shit with editing my own stuff. Someone else's? Not a problem at all! My own? Pfffffffffft. Fuck. At some point I will have to consider it done and not mess with it anymore, especially as it's not like I'm publishing it to make money. At least I think, while I might have to add a thing or two, I don't have to overhaul plot things or add characters like I do with One New Message. If the structure is good, I can fine tune details from there. My hope is to do major work now, and then be able to polish each chapter prior to posting. Fingers crossed, anyway. I know my fight scenes need work, and I was able to catch a couple things to add/change during my initial drafting, so that helps.
I really hope my office smut is on the same level as what you already wrote for me, because damn, even I needed a cigarette after that :D
I cranked out almost 100k in April and May and that's really impressive, and I get encouraged by seeing my word counts go up and up. But at the same time, I also know it's unrealistic to expect to keep up that pace AND edit AND still have time for, idk, anything else in life. I also think we have to write what makes you happy! Which means the high school AU will still be there when you get back to it. Habit tracker might be the way to go for next year, but we've each made such excellent progress! ♥
