I hope everyone had a great holiday season ♥ We just got back from our celebrations in Connecticut around lunchtime today. Christmas for us is a long trip, between three hours each way and then three different present openings, but it was great to see family and actually be there for the holiday this year. Everyone seemed happy with what they got - Jon got me a dragon head katana a la Duncan MacLeod from Highlander: The Series, as he's known I've wanted one for actual years. I'm so stoked to finally have my entire sword rack filled! Though of course, I could always have more...

hlh_shortcuts went live last week and it is fucking glorious. You should all go read it immediately and give the author some love: Dead of Night In which Joe Dawson 1. gets a girlfriend, 2. gets a happy ending, 3. with lots of plot and character relationships and things in between. It literally hits on all the things I love in a fic. I adore it and I never thought I'd get such a perfect gift :3 I can't wait until authors are revealed so I can thank the author again!

runicmagitek, I will likely be joining chocolateboxcomm this winter. I nominated what I think are some great pairings (and a surprising few that weren't already listed!) and hopefully I get a chance to write something lovely. I'm also thinking about getyourwordsout, considering that I already write about that much anyway, I would just need to keep track of words everyday. I already do that for Camp Nano and NaNo, which are three months out of the year, and I can up my word counts for the months I'm doing other challenges. Though I also fear I'd have to write more fic, actually not be an asshole and work on original stuff, ooooooor find another RP which tbh I don't have time for and I know it. We'll see.
AND. Another random ass post on tumblr inspired another fic that I hope to finish in a day or two and send to my betas to post. A strange crossover that I'm in love with and I hope is received well. :3
For now, there's shit all over my house because of just getting home from CT and my kids needing ALL OF THE TOYS opened at once, and eventually we need to eat something that's not cookies. Back to work (and real life) tomorrow.
