September 2020 Goals
Post all Press Start fics. Did it, done, all but one of the recipients responded and loved their pieces. Not sure what's going on with the third person, but whatever. I still need to post about these both on here and Tumblr - it's on my to do list for this week.
Angel of Mine: Edit Chapter 2-4; Post Chapters 2 and 3. Use word sprints to continue to knock out the draft. Chapters 2 and 3 are up, you can read the whole story over here. I am almost done editing Chapter 4 to post in a week and a half. I don't feel like I made as much progress with drafting, but I did get some more written.
A Hero Lies In You: Write some new scenes. Dear brain: WRITE THE FUCKING THING YOU PIECE OF SHIT. I mean... yeah, I'll try again this month.
Aerti Week fics. Saving my ideas for later, because timing did not work out this month. All is well - those ideas will still be there when I can get to them.
Barret Month. I also did not do this either. Did reblog some awesome pieces though!
October 2020 Goals
Angel of Mine: Edit Chapters 4-6; Post Chapters 4 and 5. Use words sprints to continue to knock out the draft. This is also going to be part of my NaNoWriMo project this year, and I will be using November to get ahead on the draft. I'm also taking November off from editing/posting so I have time to focus on actually writing, so I want to make sure I get what chapters I do have up on time.
A Hero Lies In You: Please just work on this thing. This is also on deck for NaNoWriMo. I have ideas, just haven't had the brainpower to do it.
PrepTober: Write and present sessions on POV, Settings, Characters, and Editing. The session for POV is more or less done, I just need to put it together. Then I will start working on the others. Most of my sessions are towards the end of the month, so I have time.
GYWO: Posts for friending and PrepTober for NaNo. I should write these posts up now so I have them ready to go for their posting period. I have a sticky note on my iMac with dates so I don't forget.
Yuletide: Sign up for this year. I'm not nominating anything, but I'm assuming there's something I'll want to write and read.
To be honest, I had to take a break in September to rest my brain. Editing was getting to be really overwhelming, so I bought some new writing books (Save the Cat Writes a Novel and Romancing the Beat, which should be here this week) and have been reading through them for inspiration. I figured out how to rewrite the scene I was stuck on, so hopefully I'll get back on track.
Here's to a productive October.
