Notes: Look, you can't tell me these two don't know each other through the Leaf House, and it's my current favorite FFVII rarepair. It's about time I contributed some fic of my own. ;)

Taking the handle from Aerith, Elke and Colin tugged the cart down the path. The two adults followed a few steps behind. Aerith nudged Biggs in the ribs. “So. You got roped into playing babysitter today?” she teased softly.

“They’re good kids,” he said, running a hand over his hair. “Someone has to make sure they don’t stumble across anything dangerous. We both know the monsters down here aren’t kind to the unprepared.”

Aerith nodded. “It’s good that they have you looking out for them. They need steady influences in their lives.”

“I know.” Because Biggs had been in those kids’ shoes before. He was younger than Colin when his parents died. Most kids at the Leaf House never got adopted, so they became a family instead. “It’s more like… being like a big brother, you know?”
