Welcome to WIP Wednesday, I'm the author, Amie, who is trying to figure out how not to toss out my entire story and start all over again!

Okay, it's not that drastic, but I have been struggling to get Ninjetti down on paper all month. I'm getting words, sure, but I'm not getting anywhere. I was originally just going to break off the beginning and turn them into one shots, but I think I'm going to do that with the entire existing outline. That way I can write what I absolutely have to (considering I am a long, long ways away from posting any of it) and try to set myself up for starting Infinity War in November. Hopefully. As long as editing is still progressing, I'm hoping that November will be revisions and/or moving forward. I'll reevaluate depending on what the second round of edits will look like.

I did hit my goal for Camp today, though, so I can shift my focus back to editing more. I was able to get a chunk done on Monday while waiting for my car, and I'll start going back to an hour a day when I work. Hoping that means I'd get through edit #1 before the end of summer.

I also have a really great idea I'm working on for press_start_comm! Couldn't resist starting that already. It has a mini outline and the first section done, though I think it'll need a good revision before posting. I may also have some treat ideas, but this is looking like a longer fic than required - I sneeze and more than 1000 words happens in a fic - so I'd rather have one solid fic than stretching myself to write more if they're just going to be mediocre. That's something I'll worry about come August.

But since I've been struggling for words... I let myself start one of the one shots for my PR/MCU universe. It's nothing but filth. I'm not even sorry. AJ and Jason have been wanting to fool around since I started writing them in April, lol, so it was a long time coming. I'll likely finish this one shot, and then shift back to Ninjetti proper and pick up at a more "exciting" part. Here's a snippet!

Her hand drifted lower, wandering over his waistband and tracing the bulge beneath. Now it was Jason’s turn to moan, drawing in a hissing breath. “And what if I wanted to tease you back?”

“You don’t have to.”

“May I?”

The look in her eyes, dark in the dim light from the TV and so full of desire, had him weak in the knees. Who knew he had a thing for proper consent? “Yes.”

She grinned, wickedly, tugging his shorts down. With her perched on his lap, it wasn’t like there was a ton of room between them, but that wasn’t about to stop her. AJ curled a hand around him, giving him a slow stroke.

And just like that, she had the upper hand.

The last couple weeks have been shitty, real life wise. My muses are the one thing I can look forward to cheering myself up when I'm feeling down, which is a lot right now. I don't care if this shit is self-indulgent. If it keeps me in a better headspace, I'm all for it.

YAY FOR HITTING GOAL! :D So proud of you! *chucks confetti everywhere* best of luck with your edits, too ♥ that sounds like a solid plan, but don't forget to not push yourself too much (source: me, the person who once binge edited in 8 hours and then proceeded to revisit that chapter a year later and was all "wtf is this flaming garbage")

I can't wait to see what you do for Press Start! :D :D I hope you have a blast with it! I still need to crank out my assignment and then go for there. I'm hoping to do at least one (1) treat. Mostly because of my health being awful, but also because the Octopath muses are still screaming and dry humping my leg :|

Little oneshots like that are such a treat and really do help break through the pseudo-monotony of working on a single thing. And I love your snippet ;D so spicy! I can't wait to read more of those two. Legit. They make me grin and munch popcorn.

I'm sorry life has been shitty :( also same. It's like... both sweet and kinda depressing when the only thing you're looking forward to is writing, because these nerds make you happy.
